Hi Friends

This is my first contribution to the Sukhi Pariwar Blog Site.It gives me and Sivinder great pleasure to contribute to it and get to hear from all of you via this site which was created on 2nd October 2006 by Raja and Viji. it is again thanks to Raja that I am being able to post this contribution. He was kind enough to send me an invite to post my comments.

I have to begin on a sad note. Most of you would have heard the sad news of the most untimely and most unexpected demise of Mrs Rama Shetty. She paseed away on 15th August 2007 in Fortis Hosow. pital Mohalli, Chandigarh after a brave struggle with Cancer. God bless her soul. She was a wonderful person, brave, helpful, cheerful and with an extremely positive attitude to life. I hope she and Ravi are united in Heaven. I am in touch with Maj Nishant Shetty and shall be meeting him in a few days from now. Both the boys have coped very well in conducting the last rites.

The Silver Anniversary of ouir beloved Sukhi Pariwar is just around the corner and we are waiting to meet all of you on this momentuous ocassion. Somehow we cant believe it has been that long since Sivinder started the raising of this fabulous unit in Firozpur. God bless and God speed to 305 and all its members.

Thank you all for sending in your details. I shall be adding more details as I get them. Also any changes. May I request you to please contribute to this site wholeheartedly so that we can be in touch always.

Great to be back

Hi,

Its great to be remembered and be a part of 305 again. I think this blog is a cool concept and am truly happy that it gives me a feeling of never leaving 305.

For all those who do not know me, let me give a brief intro of myself. I am a SS 61 ( March 1996) graduate of OTA, Chennai. ( Arvind sir, I am sure you miss home when you read the word Chennai!!!!). I got commissioned in 305 and was with 305 till i left in 2001. I have some extremely great memories of my time in 305 and am truly indebted to the unit for having given me so much.

I am currently working with Wipro in their Consulting Division and am based out of Pune. The role requires me to travel a lot (Re-living the army days of living out of a trunk. The only change now is that I have graduated from 1 tons to 200 tons Boeing 747 and from a trunk to a pull trolley).

I have been blessed with a baby boy in Jan 2005. We have named him Akhil

I have met / spoken to Surender sir, Sarjeet Sir, Lalit Sir and Ravinder from time to time.

Rest of the people, I have no clue where and how they are. I would love to hear more about you guys too.

At the end, once again thanks for this initiative and gives me a feeling of being 'DINED IN' .

Regards to all the officers and their families of 305.

Nishith

Welcome words.

01 oct 2006 - On this Red Letter Day
Sivis and Rajas
take great pleasure in Greeting members of Sukhi Pariwar on the occasion of the Raising Day of our Glorious Regiment.
This Blog has been created as a rallying point for the Veterans and serving members to come together and relish the wonderful feeling of the fact that we are from the same Alma Mater.
We hope to achieve the following aims :-
1. Colate the latest contact particulars of all veterans.
2. Plan to host an exclusive website for the Sukhi Parivar.
3. Invite suggestions on the design, utility, layout, etc of the website.
4. Host the websiste at the earliest, not later than Bisaki 2007.
5. Prepare for the great Silver Jubilee get together.
6. Garner photos of the past achievements which will fill our heart with pride and nostalgia.
7. Prepare the ROGUE GALLERY all past officers and the Dainty Gallery (we can decide on an appropriate name later) for the Ladies who were the main pushing force to the men to achieve great standards.
8. Humour within Sukhi Pariwar - where we can post our real life wit and humour.
9. Keep in touch - now thats vital.
Rajas.
